March 2014 Seniors Presentations

Seniors lunch takes place Wednesdays at St. Ann’s Bay Tea room beginning at 11:00 am. The program includes a presentation and later followed by a lunch at 12:00 noon.

March 5th – Speaker Debbie Martell and Anne Breski, “Conversations on Population Health”

March 12th – Speaker Bernie LeBlanc, NSPI, “Safety Around Dams”

March 19th –Speaker Kate Oland, “Beyond Books”.

March 26thMusic with Paul Cranford & Friends.

March  2014 – Saturday Hikes

March. 1st  – There is no hike today.

March . 8th – Red Island Trail Frolic – Community event from 10:30 am. Guides on snowshoes and skies will lead participants on trails and frozen ponds. (Some snowshoes available). Wholesome lunch at the Tea Room ($5.00). Snow sculpting after lunch.

March. 15th – Afternoon Hike, 1:00 pm.  – Marcelle Lavoie guides this special afternoon Winterfest hike up the scenic look-off above Rear Tarbotvale. Food & socializing to follow at Dann’s. Meet at the bridge in Rear Tarbotvale.

March . 22ndMorning Hike – The Buehlmanns host the climb to “Spinnegan”, highest point on North Shore. Participants must have poles, snowshoes and a backpack with water & lunch. Meet at 43610 Cabot Trail (just south of Gaelic Singers Hall, Breton Cove. 10:00 a.m.

March 29 th,  Saturday morning hike, – 10:00 am. Two MacLeods, Helen and Wanda, guide us up the scenic hills above South Haven & St. Ann’s Bay. Meet at Ephraim Church, South Haven.
